LYNDEY AND HERBIE’S MOVEABLE FEAST
Double episode series premiere ★★★
6.30pm, SBS Food
After touring Ireland’s food scene, Lyndey Milan is back on home turf, taking her friend and spice expert, Ian “Herbie” Hemphill on a tour of Australian food and wine spots, in a lovingly maintained 1961 Holden convertible named Edna. The car adds to the easy nostalgia enveloping the adventure, which starts in the NSW hinterland town of Bangalow. Here, the pair somewhat insensitively cook a turkey in front of its relatives.

THE KIMBERLEY CRUISE
This mesmerising three-hour boat journey that was part of SBS’ Slow Summer series is worth a second indulgence. More lush than the view from The Ghan window, this scenery has a very soothing effect. The blissful monotony is occasionally interrupted by excitement, such as the sighting of crocodiles. Whether immersed in or enjoyed as background vision, this is a pleasant virtual holiday without the inconveniences of tropical travel.
Sale of the Century goddess Nicky Buckley hasn’t been a regular fixture on our screens for a while, one of her last memorable appearances being on 2005’s Dancing with the Stars. The consummate professional TV personality makes a welcome return here as a lady of leisure travel. Buckley and her husband, model Murray Bingham, star in a three-week special, cruising the Rhine from Amsterdam to Switzerland.
