Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood is among one of the stars ‘booked’ for the upcoming Celebrity MasterChef Christmas special.
The no-nonsense judge has been linked to a dazzling line-up, which also boasts of Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter, Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, and Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison.
According to reports, the new series – which has yet to be confirmed – will see celebrities who’ve already competed on the show, return to the kitchen in one final bid to be named champion.
Aren’t we lucky?
‘Producers didn’t just want to create a generic Christmas version of the show, so they decided to make it an “all-stars” affair too,’ an insider claimed.
‘And the celebrities they’ve chosen to come back certainly made an impression with their personalities and cooking the first time round.’
The source continued to The Sun: ‘For the past two years the Christmas specials for MasterChef professionals have proved a hit, so this was a logical next step.’
Craig first appeared on Celebrity MasterChef in May and June 2007, where he reached the final alongside Nadia Sawalha and Midge Ure.
Meanwhile, Janet was a finalist in the 2013 season, with Spencer competing in 2018 and Vicky in 2019.
This year’s Celebrity MasterChef was won by documentary filmmaker Riyadh Khalaf.
After lifting up the trophy, a stunned Riyadh declared: ‘I am absolutely in shock. I can’t believe it, it’s an incredible feeling.
‘This show I have been watching since I was in school and to have gone from being a fan of the show to winning the thing – this is without a doubt the biggest achievement of my life.’
‘Riyadh has always been flamboyant, he’s always shown creativity and he’s always been passionate,’ Gregg Wallace said. ‘I think Riyadh’s cooking came of age today.’
Metro.co.uk has approached the BBC and Craig’s reps for comment.
