FORMER Coronation Street star Chris Quinten is joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Kyle Kelly’s father.
The actor – who found fame playing Gail Platt's murdered husband Brian Tilsley in the ITV soap – will star alongside Diana Weston, who is set to play Kyle's mum.
Hollyoaks revealed the two new additions by posting a snap of them together on their Twitter page.
Alongside the photo, it read: "It’s National Make A Friend Day today and we have TWO new friends for you!
"Kyle’s mum and dad… Played by Chris Quinten and Diana Weston, will joining us on Hollyoaks! But do you recognise them? #NationalMakeAFriendDay #Hollyoaks."
This isn't the first time Chris and Adam Rickitt – who plays Kyle – have starred alongside one another.
Adam previously played Chris' on-screen son, Nick Tisley, on Corrie.
He left the cobbles in 1999, returning briefly in 2002 and for a longer spell from 2003 to 2004.
His most famous storyline was when his character was involved in the series' first gay kiss with Todd Grimshaw.
Meanwhile, Diana previously starred in British sitcom The Supper Hand.
Chris revealed it was a "dream come true" to be reunited with Adam after 30 years.
He said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the scenes I’ve filmed so far at Hollyoaks, I already love the show and all of the cast, crew and production staff are fantastic and so friendly.
“Working with Adam after first playing ‘his’ dad more than thirty years ago is a dream come true, it’s a brilliant piece of soap nostalgia, which I hope everyone enjoys.
“I think Mark and Carole will really give viewers an insight into why Kyle became the man he is today, which has been a lot of fun to play and I’m looking forward to doing more.”
His move to Hollyoaks comes months after the soap star proposed to stripper girlfriend Robyn Delabarre.
Chris popped the question at her 21st birthday bash at Secrets strip club in Hammersmith.
He then whisked Robyn off for a romantic break in Mykonos to celebrate their engagement.
