Coronation Street star Lisa George is reportedly ‘in talks’ for the new series of Dancing On Ice.
The Beth Tinker actress is set to swap the Corrie cobbles for something a little more slippery.
With Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully and Leanne Battersby star Jane Danson taking to the ice in the past, she’s sure to get some sound advice from her castmates.
A source told The Sun: ‘Lisa’s really popular with soap fans so Dancing boss think she’ll be a great signing. All of her cobbles castmates will be backing her on the show.’
Lisa’s fellow Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, did well on the 2018 series, finishing in second place.
This year’s Dancing On Ice was won by former Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan and his professional partner Alexandra Schauman.
If Lisa does sign up (and here’s hoping she does) she might be skating alongside Michael Barrymore, who is said to be making his TV comeback on the ice-skating competition.
And ex-Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, who is smashing it on Strictly, has apparently been replaced on the show by magician Ben Hanlin.
Dancing On Ice, fronted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, has given its judging panel a revamp after Jason Gardiner decided to quit earlier this year.
Taking over is actor John Barrowman, who joins Ashley Banjo and British ice-skating icons Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Meanwhile on Coronation Street, it’s a tough time for Beth as she is struggling to come to terms with her niece Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) only having months to live after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
