CORONATION Street fans have been left fearing the soap is in crisis after a string of repeated storylines and boring characters.
Viewers of the ITV soap opera have spoken out after being left dismayed at the current state of the soap.
One fan has even pointed out how this year's stories have been a mirror of just four years ago in 2019 but with different characters.
They even highlighted how one love triangle plot that has been 'repeated' featured two of the SAME characters in a carbon copy storyline.
Sarah Barlow has been at the centre of an affair storm after cheating on hubby Adam Barlow with Damon Hay.
However, fans have labelled it a carbon copy of her 2019 romance with Gary Windass when Adam found himself drawn to Sarah.

One fan said: "It's like the show is stuck in a time loop.
"Of course, 100%, soaps repeat stories. Affairs are going to happen all of the time, for example. But when full years seem to have the same exact flow and same exact storytelling structure its less "familiar stories" and more so just outright repetition."
They highlighted further how 2019's terminal illness storyline in Sinead Tinker's cervical cancer is being mirrored by that of Paul Foreman and his MND diagnosis.
The fan penned: "2023 is feeling a lot like a repeat of 2019. Just like 2019 we've got the terminal illness story in Paul, mirroring Sinead."

Adding fuel to the fire, they further penned of the 'crisis': "2019 had the start of Carla's over produced psychosis, and 2023 had the fake psychosis.
"There was a ton of stupid criminal actions in 2019, mainly from the long running Gary story, just like 2023 has had a constant string of bombings, gun violence, and attempted murders/murders…"
They also blasted writers for focusing on 'boring' characters as well as bringing back past stars who have little to do with the current state of the show rather than focusing on the 'rich history and legacy' the show has.
Someone else penned: "The writers seem to focus their storylines around the most awful characters.
"I'm absolutely sick of Sarah & Adam's baby storyline and I hate that they've brought back the loathsome Lauren, I cannot stand her."
