Coronation Street exit for Sarah Platt as Damon takes revenge

Corrie: Sarah tells Damon to stay away from her

Over the past few months, Coronation Street fans have witnessed Damon Hay (played by Ciaran Griffiths) force Bistro owner Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to let him run drugs through his business. Despite standing up to the criminal and getting him arrested, viewers have worked out Damon’s way of getting revenge and it involves his sister Sarah.

After being released from prison, Damon headed straight to the Bistro to inform Nick he had hired a solicitor to ensure his financial stake in the business was safe.

Although to Nick’s surprise, he learnt it was his brother-in-law Adam (Sam Robertson) who would be representing his nemesis in court.

With Adam choosing cash over loyalty, he and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) have been working together to help keep Damon a free man.

However, with the criminal still furious with Nick for grassing him up to the police, he turned his attention to his sister, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

Viewers have already seen the Underworld worker get flirty with Damon, unaware of who he was, after a bust-up with her husband last week with things escalating on Monday night.

During the episode, Sarah was in the middle of a meeting when Damon decided to intervene as he slipped her a business card with his hotel number on the back.

Letting temptation get the better of her, she headed off to his room where they had a heart-to-heart before she kissed him.

With things ramping up, the pair were intimate in bed as he later confessed his true feelings to her.

Later on, Damon revealed to Sarah she was the girl of his dreams and highlighted his upset about meeting her when he’s due to be imprisoned.

However, unbeknownst to them both Dee-Dee and Adam found something in the paperwork which could keep Damon in Weatherfield.

After the instalment, viewers were quick to take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the affair with many believing Sarah will fall pregnant with Damon’s baby and be forced to leave the cobbles as she is unable to face husband Adam.

Bananasplits_64 commented: “So we now have another blackmail story coming up with top knot and Sarah.”

lisamarieLML added: “Well obviously this is the beginning of the end of Adam & Sarah can’t wait!! When he finds out she’s probably pregnant by Damon not him, it’s gonna explode!”

Sarah could confide in Nick about her infidelity after discovering she’s pregnant with Nick furious at the criminal ruining her marriage.

Things could go from bad to worse if Sarah is pregnant as she won’t want Adam to find out about her betrayal. Could she leave to have a secret abortion?

Damon’s already run his own son Jacon Hay (Jack James Ryan) out of town earlier this year so it’s possible another exit could be on the cards.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITVX and ITV1 from 8pm.
