Fans left fuming as act insults Stephen Mulhern

Stephen Mulhern was the subject of a jibe from performer Honey Scott who joked about his spin-off show getting axed.

Stephen, 45, used to front Britain's Got More Talent on ITV2 and has said he dearly misses doing it.

But he got a rough ride last night when Honey sung a song about Britain's Got Talent.

One verse went: "Ant and Dec now I'm feeling the pressure, they've been jolly good chums forever.

"Stephen Mulhern's not as good as them two, that's why he's not on ITV2."

The line went down well on the show, with Simon Cowell pictures laughing heartily.

However, she soon had to face the wrath of the star's fans with one tweeting: "Why did Honey have to bring Stephen Mulhern into this !?!"

Another fumed: "No!!!!! four buzzers for Honey Scott please how DARE she insult Stephen Mulhern this show is nothing without him and bgmt."

“We kind of just want to say to ourselves ‘we know we are better than them’.

Child star Malaki Paul is unrecognisable 10 years after the show

MALAKI Paul left judges in awe when he appeared on Britain's Got Talent back in 2012.

Now 10 years later, the child star is unrecognisable, carving out a career for himself in the music and television industry.

Back on the ITV show, the youngster – now aged 20 – gave an emotional rendition of Beyoncé's Listen but things came to an abrupt halt when nerves got the best of him and he broke down in tears.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house as his mother ran out on star to comfort her nine-year-old son.

Judge Alesha Dixon also rushed out from her seat and helped to calm Malaki's nerves before he started his audition again.

Once he'd finished singing there was praise all round as Alesha said he was "a natural raw talent", while David Walliams admitted his performance was a "really special audition".

How does the BGT golden buzzer work?

The golden buzzer is on the judges’ panel which, when pressed, means you are automatically granted a place in the Semi-Finals.

This will mean they will skip past the boot camp stage of the competition, ultimately giving them a head start.

Each judge, and hosts Ant & Dec have one opportunity per series to press it for any act they deem as worthy.

The golden buzzer was introduced in series eight, and has been an integral part since.

Who are the judges this year?

Britain’s Got Talent will see the return of the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams giving their verdict on each act that comes before them.

They will all be in charge of that dreaded buzzer again this year. If all four judges press it, it means game over for the acts.

What happened when Ant got injured during BGT filming?

As an act involving dozens of coconuts was set up on stage, Ant did his best to crack one using different parts of his body.

Firstly, he punched it, which left him grimacing and shaking his fist.

He said: “Do not punch coconuts kids, it really hurts.

Fans of the star needn’t worry though, as the small wound wasn’t serious, in fact Ant didn’t even know he was bleeding until Dec pointed it out to him.

Twelve-year-old Beau said: "We're trying to spread the word for boys who dance, because it's not always easy for us, we get bullied."

Toby, 11, added: "We kind of just say to ourselves, 'we know we're better than them'. But boys can dance if they want to, it's not going to affect anyone else and they're just people that are jealous of you."

Four of the five boys were dressed in matching blue varsity jackets, with the fifth member, Ollie, made the odd one out in a striped T-shirt.

‘I lost my £90k Britain’s Got Talent fortune’

BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Francine Lewis has revealed her heartbreak after being scammed out of £90,000 by a phoney stocks company.

The mum, 47, who shot to fame for her hilarious impressions of celebs in 2013, was swindled out of her savings after being tricked by the devious “brokers”.

She lost the life-changing £90,000 – which she had earned from her time on Britain’s Got Talent and from tours and corporate events she did after the show.

Devastated Francine told The Sun Online: “I had a little gut feeling. I spoke to the guys myself, they were so convincing, so even I got suckered in.

“Stupidly, I handed all this money over, went to my bank, drew it out.

“What was even worse, I handed them all my kids’ money that I had been saving from when they were born.

“That for me was the worst part of it. In the end, it ended up being a scam. That little bit of a gut, which I prayed wasn’t going to be right, was right in the end.”

“It was dead in the water. I couldn’t get arrested with it.

“That’s the way thing happen sometimes I certainly wouldn’t have predicted then that however many years ago we’d be having a conversation like this still talking about a talent show.

“The great thing is there are still amazing people out there with great stories and talent they want to share.

“I look at this show like it’s a bubble. It’s a happy bubble, a funny bubble.

“It will hopefully still be around because we all need that escape sometimes.”

Asked when he’ll leave Britain’s Got Talent, he said: “I’ll be committing until 2025 – that’s when the contract runs to.”
