Brian McFadden has admitted that he has had enough of ‘the GC’ and is hoping that Dancing On Ice viewers will be able to see ‘Gemma’ on Sunday.
Appearing on Loose Women today, the former Westlife singer said that her ‘character’ could be hard to take.
But the 38-year-old also revealed that he felt sorry for Gemma and insisted that she was working hard and that he had seen her crying in her dressing room.
When told the Gemma had said that she had been throwing up on the ice as a result of the stress, Brian seemed sceptical and said: "Really?"
He added: "I love Gemma Collins – the GC is a different story, now she’s hard to take. But Gemma, she’s beautiful."
Opening up about the difference between the two, he said: "The GC is the character she plays when she’s a diva and that’s probably the one that people give out about. But Gemma is beautiful, and I feel so sorry for Gemma now because all the headlines are talking about diva demands and leaving early and stuff.
"She’s working so hard, people have no idea. She really is. I’ve been sitting in her dressing room when she’s crying just from tiredness she’s working so hard."
He explained that viewers were mainly seeing ‘the GC’ at the moment and said that he isn’t afraid to ask her to rein it in.
"We’ve got a good relationship and I do say that’s enough of the GC, let’s see Gemma," he said.
At the end of his chat, Loose Women were forced to apologise today after Brian shocked viewers with a quip about "fat s**gs".
After revealing that he had shaved off his beard for his Bugsy Malone-themed routine on Dancing On Ice, he was probed about the name of the song.
"I can’t even say it because I have a really rude way to say the name of the song," Brian admitted.
"Oh say it," Kaye Adams said – which she quickly regretted.
"Big Sam’s Fat S**gs," he said, prompting shocked laughter. "But I don’t think that’s what it’s called. "I think it’s called Fat Sam’s Grand Slam."
"That was your fault, Adams," Nadia Sawalha pointed out.
Brian added: "You asked me to say it!"
Kaye looked very embarrassed and he quipped: "They don’t call them Loose Women for nothing!"
The show cut for the ad break and when it returned Kaye said: "Just a quick apology if you were offended by Brian’s language before the break…"
Fans were in hysterics over the mishap, with one tweeting: "#LooseWomen oops something tells me Brian McFadden saying “Fat s**gs” probably won’t get him back on the show anytime soon."
