Bradley Walsh, 60, was on hand to help four more contestants take on The Chase quizmaster Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, 50, and hopefully walk away with a big money prize. Euen was the first up and quickly built up some funds to get the jackpot underway. However, before he even faced The Chaser, he had to face the wrath of the ITV quiz host for a blunder he’d made about the location of body parts – despite being a doctor.
With £4,000 under his belt, the contestant could have secured another £1,000 when Bradley asked: “The pituitary gland is located on the underside of what organ?”
Euen replied: “The neck,” to which the host told him the correct answer was the brain and the player couldn’t hide his embarrassment.
The klaxon then sounded as the cash-builder round came to an end, with the doctor holding his head in his hands.
“Back to uni,” the presenter jokingly suggested, adding: “The pituitary gland is on the underside of the brain.”
Excusing his blunder, the quizzing amateur remarked: “I thought you said thyroid,” but the host wasn’t buying his explanations.
“You need your ears tested – you need to go and see your doctor,” Bradley joked before asking the contestant if he had friends watching.
Euen said he did have people who would be cheering him on, commenting it would be “bad” he got the medical question wrong.
The host told him not to worry as he was then going to face Paul to try and make it back for the Final Chase.
Luckily, the player got his A-game back as he made it back with £4,000 to kickstart the jackpot for the team.
