Simon Cowell has pressed the golden buzzer for his favourite act on just the second episode of the new series of Britain's Got Talent.
Simon, who's famous for being difficult to please, was blown away by Malakli's opera performance and smashed the golden buzzer for him – taking him straight through to the live shows.
The young singer received a standing ovation by both the judges and the crowd as Simon went on to label his singing as "golden" before smashing the buzzer.
BGT viewers echoed similar sentiments online. One person wrote: "That's talent. Unfiltered talent. That's what it's about. Golden indeed".
Another penned: "This generations Aled Jones. Stardom for sure #bgt", as a third tweeted: "He deserved that golden buzzer wow what a voice #BGT".
Simon's buzzer pressing comes after new Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli pressed the buzzer for young dance group Ghetto Kids on Saturday night's show.
But it's likely Bruno would have also wanted to press the buzzer for young Malakai had he not already done so for the other group as the former Strictly judge was moved to tears my Malakai's performance.
While Simon waited for the end of Malakai's song, Bruno pressed his buzzer half way through Ghetto Kids' dance having forgot his pre-show briefing.
Speaking ahead of the show's return, the professional dancer admitted: "Alesha gave me a brief, but then I forgot everything she told me! I think that was obvious when I pressed my golden buzzer at the wrong time on the first day!
"They were like, ‘here are the rules, you press it then, not then’, but that went out the window, I honestly got caught up in the moment, forgot everything I’d been told and just reacted instinctively. I looked up, Simon was in stitches, Alesha looked shocked! But that really happened. I mean, it wasn't planned."
He went on: "I honestly had no idea I’d do that in the moment. Anyway, Simon tells the crowd there’s no rules, to forget what they’ve been told and act badly behaved, so I listened! Come on, he’s the boss!”
Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden are yet to press the buzzer for their acts, but fans may have a while to wait as there are still several more weeks of auditions yet to air.
Britain's Got Talent next airs on ITV on Saturday, 22nd April.
