The Love Island star decided to go under the knife to have her ears changed after becoming anxious about appearing on stage in 9 to 5 The Musical in London's West End with them as they were.
Speaking on her new one-off show Amber & Dolly 9 to 5, Amber hits back at claims she is "promoting plastic surgery" by having her ears done.
She says: "I'm on my way to get my ears pulled back this afternoon which is scary. I will probably be criticised for getting it done. People will be like, 'Oh you're promoting plastic surgery.'
"I'm not, I'm not promoting anything. It's for my own insecurity. It's something I've wanted done for ages. I hate my ears, I hate them.
"My ears have knocked my confidence for years, for longer than I can remember. I know there's going to be thousands of people looking at me on stage for eight shows a week.
"It's that insecurity I want to get rid of. I've never had any surgery done before so I'm terrified to have this done but I know it's the right thing for me."
In a clip taken after the surgery, Amber is in tears over the agony she is suffering.
She says: "It's been six hours since my operation and I'm in so much pain because the anaesthetic is wearing off a little bit.
"I can feel everything now and it's so painful.
"My mum's come down to London to help me. I'm in so much pain.
"But hopefully it will be worth it."
