Amanda Owen pays moving tribute to daughter for 'bringing brightness into a dark place' at Ravenseat | The Sun

AMANDA Owen credited her daughter Nancy for bringing "brightness" after a difficult year with renovations and being newly-single.

The mum-of-nine, 48, has been in a "dark place" since her split from husband Clive Owen, 67, back in June.

The former couple bought a remote farmhouse in North Yorkshire 2020 and were granted planning permission to renovate the property.

But there has been numerous setbacks leaving Amanda devastated.

However, she has thanked her daughter for shining a light during her dark times.

Taking to Twitter, the Shepherdess wrote: "Bringing brightness into a dark place.

"In the sink mew, usually stacked from floor to ceiling with hay bales, this year we used another barn."

She posted a photo of her daughter Nancy holding a lightbulb as she sat in the hay.

Fans rushed to comment, with one writing: “Ah look at Nancy sitting there all on her own and so pretty."

Another penned: “Oh, so lovely."

This comes after some unexpected activity at the family's farm, Ravenseat.

Last week, newly-single star revealed that she had welcomed two new calves to the farm.

Amanda explained to her followers what had happened but is yet to release any further details, including the names of her wonderful new additions.

The TV star wrote: "Four cattle went to Summer graze the high allotment, six cattle came home."

The Sun exclusively revealed last year that the marriage had taken a turn for the worst and the pair confirmed their separation earlier this year.

A source said at the time: “It’s incredibly sad. Amanda and Clive are two hugely popular figures here in the Dales, and no one saw this coming.

“Clive loves Amanda to bits and adores her, and fears the marriage may be failing even though he desperately doesn’t want it to. He fears they will divorce.

“He reckons the image of them playing happy families is a load of rubbish. He thinks this will be the last series they film together, and now it’s about looking after the kids and putting them first."
