WWE Royal Rumble 2019 results: Shane McMahon wins first WWE title for 19 years aged 49

The unlikely duo emerged triumphant – despite their lack of experience pairing together – to overcome The Bar.

After an entertaining encounter, which followed on from Asuka’s successful SmackDown Women’s Title defence, they claimed the belt after capitalising on a mistake from the champs.

The beginning of the end came when Sheamus hit his best friend Cesaro accidentally with a Brogue Kick.

The Miz could sense an opportunity and quickly struck the Irishman with a Skull-Crushing Finale.

With the ex-WWE Champion laid out, McMahon was able to climb to the top rope and hit Cesaro with a Shooting Star Press.

And he still had enough energy left to cover the Swiss Superman to claim the gold.

The duo celebrated their victory in style.

And The Miz’s dad was also at ringside to help his boy and WWE owner Vince McMahon’s son toast their success.

The accolade is Shane O’Mac’s third championship in WWE after previously holding the European and Hardcore Titles – the last championship reign coming 19 years ago.
