Watch fuming Olivier Giroud throw bottle after being subbed 41 minutes into France World Cup final against Argentina | The Sun

FRANCE striker Olivier Giroud threw his bottle in anger after being substituted after JUST 41 minutes in the World Cup final.

With Les Bleus trailing 2-0 following a wretched first half performance, Didier Deschamps decided to make a double change.

The France coach decided to withdraw Giroud and Ousmane Dembele and replaced them with Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Munai.

The 2018 winners failed to lay a glove on Argentina and didn't even register a single attempt on goal.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi and Co were right at it from the get-go.

The South American champions were rewarded on 23 minutes when they were given a penalty after Dembele fouled Angel Di Maria in the box.

Messi did the rest from 12-yards, sending Hugo Lloris the wrong way for his sixth goal of the tournament.

It got even worse for France just 13 minutes later when Di Maria got in on the act, clinically finishing off a swift counter-attack.

As a result, Deschamps reacted by making a double substitution.

But Giroud didn't exactly take the decision well.
