ARSENAL fans have gone mad for a new Alexandre Lacazette chant.
The song has apparently been around since June but is now picking up in popularity after the Gunners' winning start to the season.
A clip on Reddit and Twitter of Arsenal supporters singing the song in support of their striker has gone viral.
Lacazette was an unused sub in Unai Emery's side's first game of the campaign – a 1-0 win at Newcastle – after picking up an ankle injury in pre-season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winning goal on that occasion.
But it is Frenchman Laca, 28, who joined the North London side for a then club-record fee of £46.5million in July 2017, who has the best chant.
The song, to the tune of Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky, goes: "He's our French, he's our No 9.
"He plays for Arsenal in red and white.
"Scoring goals is what he does best.
"And he goes by the name of Lacazette."
One fan commented on the clip: "Ah this with some drums in the background is gonna be quality at the Emirates."
SunSport told you last week how Lacazette and strike partner Aubameyang are in talks over contract extensions.
The deadly duo were both rumoured to have already penned fresh terms, but SunSport understands that is NOT the case.
Aubameyang, 30, still has two years left on his deal, which runs out in the summer of 2021.
And Lacazette has three years remaining until 2022 after signing on for five seasons from Lyon in 2017.
The Gunners are desperate for them to stay, and would like them to be tied down before the end of this year.
