Transfer news LIVE: Chelsea to sign 'next Haaland' & Blues dealt Moukoko blow with Borussia Dortmund star to extend deal | The Sun

CHELSEA are set to sign a striker deemed to be the next Erling Haaland as Datro Fofana will join the club from Molde, according to reports.

This comes as Blues striker Armando Broja could miss the rest of the season after scans revealed he tore his ACL in their friendly with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Fabrizio Romano believes that Fofana will join the Blues, with personal terms still to be agreed but Molde having settled on a transfer fee.

Elsewhere, Youssoufa Moukoko is set to sign an extension to his contract at Borussia Dortmund.

This follows interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, who will be gutted to miss out on the generational talent, who was going to become available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

    As mentioned earlier, Chelsea are closing in on Molde star David Datro Fofana who has been dubbed the next Erling Haaland due to his goalscoring record in Norway.

    Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the fee will be "in excess" of €10million (£8.7m) and that documents still need to be signed before the deal can officially done.

    Romano added that the Blues still plan to bring in RB Leipzig superstar Christopher Nkunku in June.

    The Blues are looking for a replacement to fill in for Armando Broja, who will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury.

    According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the West Londoners are on the brink of signing Fofana, 19, for a fee over £8million.

    The striker has been compared to Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland as a result of his devastating goal record for the Norwegian outfit.

    The Ivory Coast international has amassed a total of 17 goals and six assists in 29 appearances this season.
