Looksnowtlikebrian and Solomon Grey have been off the track a little too long to be winning this.
It is best to stick with horses who are proven at the three-mile distance. Burbank, Cobra De Mai, Azzerti and Ravenhill Road have yet to show a liking for it.
This hasn’t been a race for old warriors and you want to look for a chaser with no more than three wins over fences. Calipto comes up short on that score.
Finishing in the frame on one of your past two starts is important and spells bad news for Ok Corral and Good Man Pat.
That leaves us with a shortlist of two – Dingo Dollar and Quarenta.
Given that trainer Alan King has won two of the past four renewals, that points to DINGO DOLLAR.
He was sixth in this race 12 months ago but comes back from a lower weight and with another year’s experience in his locker.
