PHILIPPE COUTINHO has agreed to join Bayern Munich on loan.
The Brazilian has agreed personal terms with the German champions who now need to finalise some admin details with Barcelona.
Coutinho will be announced as a Bayern player shortly, after Barca sporting relations director Guillermo Amor told Movistar+: "I can confirm that there's an agreement in principle in the case of Coutinho's loan to Bayern."
Given the advanced stages of the move, Coutinho was left out of Barca's La Liga opener at Athletic Bilbao but was pictured in the stands.
Bayern asked about a loan move for Coutinho on Monday but the Catalans were said to be uninterested unless they could bag Neymar.
The ex-Liverpool, 27, has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp all summer having struggled to fit in since his 2018 move from Liverpool.
The forward's departure looks to have put an end to Neymar's chance of a dream return to Barca.
Paris Saint-Germain made clear their desire to include Coutinho in any deal for Neymar.
And with Barca missing out on a transfer fee for the ex-Premier League star, they will not be able to stump up the necessary cash to bring their old trickster back from Paris.
Real Madrid have also shown interest in Neymar this summer but were recently reported to have failed in player-plush-cash deal with PSG holding out for £206m.
