Knicks land Immanuel Quickley in 2020 NBA Draft trade

Leon Rose is dealing once again.

The Knicks new president turned the No. 27 and 38 picks into the No. 25 and 33 picks on Wednesday, then drafted Kentucky point guard Immanuel Quickley with the No. 25 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-4 Quickley was the SEC Player of the Year last season as a sophomore, when he averaged 16.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 40.3 percent. The Knicks should know him well with former Kentucky assistant coach Kenny Payne now on Tom Thibodeau’s staff.

“He is going to stretch the floor for the Knicks,” Kentucky coach John Calipari said on ESPN’s broadcast.
