Heated LeBron James goes off on Astros’ cheating scandal

Baseball stars aren’t the only ones fuming about the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal.

“Listen I know I don’t play baseball but I am in Sports and I know if someone cheated me out of winning the title and I found out about it I would be (expletive) irate,” Lakers superstar LeBron James tweeted Tuesday in response to the cheating scheme rocking baseball.

James roots for his hometown Cleveland Indians and the Yankees, who lost to the Astros in the 2017 ALCS — the same season Houston was found to have electronically stolen signs en route to winning the World Series. (MLB also confirmed that Houston cheated during parts of 2018.)

Many players and fans across the league have called on commissioner Rob Manfred to punish Astros players for their roles in the scandal, but players were granted immunity in exchange for providing information on the case.

“I mean like uncontrollable about what I would/could do! Listen here baseball commissioner listen to your…..players speaking today about how disgusted, mad, hurt, broken, etc etc about this. Literally the ball is in your court (or should I say field),” James tweeted. “And you need to fix this for the sake of Sports! #JustMyThoughtsComingFromASportsJunkieRegardlessMyOwnSportIPlay”
