Arsenal and Chelsea in Gabriel Jesus transfer boost as Man City star has ‘pact’ to leave club for £43m

ARSENAL and Chelsea have received a boost in their pursuit of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

It was revealed on Tuesday that Thomas Tuchel's side had joined the race to sign the Brazilian.

And now fresh reports will give both Chelsea and Arsenal hope they can secure a deal for his services.

According to Marca, Jesus and Man City agreed a long time ago that his price would be set at £43million.

This could enable both Arsenal and Chelsea to afford him this summer.

Mikel Arteta is searching for a new No9 as Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract.

And Chelsea are in danger of losing Romelu Lukaku as the Belgian has been linked with a swift return to Inter Milan.

But Arsenal and Chelsea will have to beat Real Madrid to Jesus' signature.

The Spanish champions have reportedly turned their attention towards Jesus after missing out on Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

Tottenham and Atletico Madrid have also been touted as potential destinations for Jesus, whose place in Pep Guardiola's team is under threat after the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
