CHELSEA are reportedly looking to beat Spurs to the signing of Northern Ireland's 15-year-old striker Charlie Allen.
The teenager – who became Linfield’s youngest-ever debutant last season – has had trials at Tottenham and held talks about a deal to bring him to North London.
But according to Football Insider, the Blues have ambushed their attempts to land him.
They have claimed that they have asked Linfield about Allen having a trial at Cobham.
Manchester City have also been linked with the starlet.
JOSE MOURINHO snubbed Lyon because he has already picked his next club, according to the French outfit's president Jean Michel Aulas.
The former Chelsea and United chief, 56, is keen to return to management and had been touted as a potential replacement for the axed Sylvinho.
But Aulas claims Mourinho declined a meeting because a decision has been made about his future.
He said: “We had some fairly flattering exchanges over SMS. It was nice for everyone.
“He did not accept our proposal to meet because he has already chosen another club.”
CHELSEA fans are loving the fact that Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have combined for as many goals as Liverpool’s front three this season.
Abraham and Mount both returned to Stamford Bridge after impressing in respective loan spells at Aston Villa and Derby.
They have since become key figures under new boss Frank Lampard, with Abraham bagging eight goals and Mount four.
Chelsea seem to be getting better with each game after winning four on the trot.
