  • DUSAN TADIC'S dad Peter is still annoyed with his son for picking Southampton over Manchester United.

He said: “Dusan could have gone to Manchester United and Southampton.

“I wanted him to go to Manchester, to Louis van Gaal.

“But Dusan wanted to go to Ronald Koeman. We couldn’t work it out together.

“Manchester United have always been a top club.

“I was a fan of Bobby Charlton, George Best, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

“They have always had top players. Even now things are going less well, I still love Manchester United.

“That’s why I was really mad at Dusan.

“We talked about it all evening, but in the end, Dusan said he would choose Southampton anyway.“

  • MANCHESTER UNITED were given a full refund for Dong Fangzhuo after the Chinese striker flopped at Old Trafford.

United infamously signed Fangzhuo from Chinese club Dalian Shide in 2004 for an initial fee of £500,000, which could have risen to £3.5 million, depending on appearances.

But the forward only played three matches and failed to score a goal before his contract was terminated four years after moving to England.

The Premier League giants were not out of pocket for the gamble signin, though, due to a clause inserted when they signed Fangzhuo.

According to The Athletic, Dalian Shide agreed to refund United if they were not satisfied two years after the striker completed the move to Old Trafford.

The 34-year-old moved back to his ex-club after leaving Manchester, and retired aged 29 after spells in Poland, Portugal and Armenia.

Fangzhuo’s spectacular fall from grace culminated in appearing on a Chinese reality TV show undergoing plastic surgery.

In 2015 Fangzhuo was without a club and was struggling to stay fit.

Overweight, he appeared on a Chinese TV show where he underwent plastic surgery on his jowly face.

  • MANCHESTER UNITED have been warned against signing Erling Haaland as it might stop Marcus Rashford's development.

Their former striker Dimitar Berbatov was asked for his thoughts on the star and said: “Haaland is good and he is still young. He's developing and maybe he can get better.

“But I've said many times before that Martial and Rashford are, for me, the two main strikers that United need to keep.

“I played with Martial in Monaco, I know how good he can be. Now he's in the place he can develop and become a world star.

“Everyone knows how good Rashford can be … they need to stick with these two players.”

EXCLUSIVE: AARON WAN-BISSAKA comes up against a childhood pal on Wednesday who will be hoping to turn Old Trafford into Colchester’s winter wonderland.

Courtney Senior grew up three minutes away from Wan-Bissaka in New Addington, South London.

The pair used to play on the green opposite the council house where the Manchester United star lived as a kid.

Senior, 22, told SunSport: “We’re in the same friendship group. He’s moved to Manchester now so I don’t see him as much. But when he’s down in London we’ll meet up

“Even though he’s my friend, I’m still inspired by him.

“Even with the money and all that, he’s still the same person. He’s still humble.

“I saw him the day after the Manchester derby because we went to Winter Wonderland for our Christmas do and the Man Utd boys were there.

“It’ll be good to be back on the pitch against him. We were on the same team before but we’re rivals now!”
