    AFTER a barren season at Chelsea, Mateo Kovacic thought he had scored for Croatia against Wales.

    The on-loan Real Madrid midfielder saw his deflected strike nestle in the bottom corner before being disallowed.

    Andrej Kramaric strayed into an offside position, but the call from the linesman looked harsh as he didn't appear to be blocking Wayne Hennessey's view.

    Nevertheless, Croatia went on to win the game 2-1 in Osijek.

    And there was more good news for Chelsea as Ethan Ampadu impressed after coming on as a substitute.

    MAURIZIO SARRI has been given the green light to join Juventus.

    According to the Guardian, the former Napoli boss' agent Fali Ramadani met with the Blues board yesterday.

    Juve will now pay Chelsea £5m compensation with the deal set to be completed next week.
