Tiffany Haddish fans concerned comic ‘lost her mind’ after quarantine haircut

We hope our quarantine haircut gets a better reaction than this.

Tiffany Haddish took to Instagram Tuesday to share a 26-minute video of herself cutting off her dreadlocks, a move so drastic the comedian had to reassure fans she wasn’t going through a mental breakdown.

“Cut my hair!” the”Bad Trip” actress, 40, captioned the clip. “I cut all my hair off cause I want to see my scalp. I know my whole body, I know where every mole is, but I don’t know my scalp. So hello Scalp #SheReady to everything.”

After consulting with a barber, the funny lady decided to give herself a TWA (teenie-weenie Afro) before committing to a fully clean head, a move she said she’s looking forward to in the near future.

While Haddish seemed confident in her decision, fans immediately began to question whether or not the Los Angeles native “lost her mind,” which she addressed in a follow-up video.

“Somebody go check on sis, something’s wrong with her. What’s wrong with her mentally? She done lost it!” Haddish said, imitating fans who accused her of being unstable.

“Why, when a woman decides, ‘I’m going to cut my hair off because I want to see my scalp,’ she gotta have a mental problem? Nothing is wrong with my brain, guys, I’m suffering from no emotional shit, nothing. I literally been talking about this for years, how I want to see my scalp.”

The “Last O.G.” star is also excited to take a break from obsessively maintaining her tresses.

“Let’s just be honest, as a black woman — I don’t know about white women — but as a black woman, that’s a good hour to three hours of your f–king day. Even if your hair is braided, you gotta grease your scalp, you gotta tie ’em up at night, you gotta make sure they look neat, it’s a lot of work. So, I’m taking time off!”
