The best bet for rebounding from a breakup? If you’re rapper Offset, just add some bling.
Fresh off his split with baby mama Cardi B, 26, the Migos musician stepped out to celebrate his 27th birthday on Friday night in a glitzy getup that gave the New Year’s Eve ball a run for its money.
Offset, 27, sported an $11,000 crystal balaclava designed by Laurel DeWitt. A favorite designer of Cardi’s, DeWitt created the $6,500 chain hat featured in the video for her single “Money,” along with the barely-there leopard look the “Drip” rapper wore to her 26th birthday party in October.
Offset styled his face mask with a Swarovski-encrusted bomber jacket, diamond bracelets and a blinged-out watch, along with acid-wash metallic skinny jeans and chunky white sneakers.
Despite his sparkling ensemble, however, the singer couldn’t hide his broken heart — and took to Instagram the same night to issue a public apology to Cardi.
“I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi,” Offset shared in a selfie video. “I want to apologize to you Cardi, I know I embarrassed you.”
The rapper also addressed his alleged infidelity. “I know I made you a little crazy, doing things I ain’t had no business partaking in activity that I shouldn’t have been taking in,” he continued. “I apologize for … breaking your heart, breaking our promise, breaking God’s promise, I’m trying to be a better person.”
Too bad Offset spoiled his mea culpa by crashing Cardi’s set Saturday at the Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles. She didn’t look thrilled by his grand gesture.
