Mum branded ‘selfish’ after sharing photo of Christmas presents swamping tree

A mother has been condemned for buying so many presents you can barely see her Christmas tree.

Emma Tapping, 38, splashes thousands of pounds on gifts each year for her three kids.

But the 38-year-old has this year been told to donate some and been branded "disgusting" and "selfish".

Photos and video of her mountain of presents swamping her Christmas tree in her home on the Isle of Man have been slammed.

Only the top of the tree is visible in the pictures.

One Instagram user posted: “So many people have nothing you should donate them.

“Personally I think this is ridiculous who needs this many it’s just selfish.”

Another person agreed, posting: “Pretty sure you’re losing sight of what Christmas is actually about with all those gifts.

“Might just be because I have 11 under my tree, but this photo is just disgusting.”

But Emma, who works full-time, claims she enjoys seeing the delight of her children – Mia, 16, Ella, 12, and her youngest Tatum – on Christmas morning.

And other parents online have supported Emma’s bold move.

Do you think Emma should donate some of her gifts?

“If I had that kinda cash best believe my kid would be so spoiled," one person shared.

Speaking previously, Emma and said she and her partner James, 43, don’t go into debt at Christmas.

She has set up a Facebook page, TappingSave , to share her thrifty tips.
