It’s hard to believe thatLove Islandhasn’t been back on TV for even a month and yet it's brought with it so much drama, tension and potential romances that it's become such a big part of our daily lives already.
Just this week the Islanders have been rocked with a recoupling that saw on-again-off-againEkin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti reuniteand a sexy heart race challenge thatleft a sour taste in a few contestant’s mouths.
WithCasa Amor set to return on July 4and plenty of heads set to turn, body language expertInbaal Honigmanfrom Reboot SEO Company’sLove Island statistics pagespoke to OK! about which couples have the best chemistry.
Inbaal believes that out of all the couplesAndrew Le PageandTasha Ghourihave the most chemistry and the expression on his face shows just how he feels about the model.
She said: “As soon as he stands up to speak, his nerves are evident. He's not just shuffling his feet – he's practically hopping from side to side, he is worried whether she'll accept him or not.
“For a guy who likes to appear confident, this is an expression of his honest truth. She gazes right ahead at him, which shows that she knows he's picking her, and his nerves feed her confidence.”
Inbaal added: “As they kiss, her hand lingers on his shoulders for longer than it needs to. This is a reassuring gesture – she feels moved to calm his nerves and show him that she is there for him.
“As they settle into their seats, their fingers fully entwine. They're truly thankful they've found each other.”
Though she believes Andrew is unsure of himself and this was shown during the heartrace challenge: “Trying his best, Andrew is totally out of his depth and a little nervous.
“He's attempting different dance moves and playing with original ideas with his props, but he doesn't look comfortable in the situation. He's glancing at the girls, trying to gage if he is liked by them.”
One couple that has been the talk of the town recently has beenLuca BishandGemma Owen, especially after Gemma’s heart rose the most for exJacques O’Neill– and him for her.
It’s no surprise then that Inbaal believes that the pair only have 50% chemistry: “They hug each other with only one arm each, which shows that they're both being cautious – his other hand is all the way behind his back! But those hugging arms are outstretched.
“They're both willing to give it a chance and see what happens. Slightly apart, they position themselves next to each other, and his face is a delight. To be fair, so is hers, they're excited.”
While in the dance, Luca only felt confident until he’d seen Gemma as Inbaal explains: “Uncertain in himself and confused about his job there, Luca ends up narrating his challenge, chatting to the girls instead of focusing on his dancing. He stands awkwardly, whip in hand, showing that this isn't natural for him.
“Reluctantly, he drags his feet through the dance, until he finally gets down to one thing he feels confident with, embracing Gemma.”
While this body language expert believes that Gemma herself was out of depth during the dance too: “The adorable way that Gemma swishes her high ponytail from side to side is not remotely reminiscent of an exotic performance, but of a little girl trying to copy her big sister.
Her smile is shy and sweet, and her single seduction move – that face-lick, shows that this is definitely her first rodeo. She's giving it her best shot, her constant smile shows she is keen to be liked, but her steps are small and hesitant, her glances are questioning, she's not confident that she's doing it right.”
