I scooped life-changing lottery jackpot – now I'm going on a holiday of a lifetime but here's the downside | The Sun

A LUCKY woman who is going on a holiday after scooping a life-changing jackpot has revealed one major downside.

Sally, from Berkshire, was amazed when she discovered she'd won the eye-watering prize of £30,000.

The lucky punter, from Clewer, was left stunned after getting a call from Postcode Lottery saying she scooped the prize earlier this month.

She has now decided to splash the cash on a holiday of a lifetime with her husband Ben and tick off dream destinations from her bucket list.

Chuffed Sally explained: "It doesn't feel real at the moment. It's all a bit of a shock – Australia and New Zealand is more than a possibility now."

But Sally said there is a downside to the life-changing windfall.

The dedicated gardener claimed to be worried about her customers' gardens while she is away splashing the prize on a well-deserved holiday.

She said: "I don't know what will happen to my customers' gardens while I'm on the other side of the world.

"They'll be a bit weedy and a bit overgrown."

The mum of two decided to try her luck after her daughter previously hit the jackpot and begged her to sign up.

She said: "My daughter kept winning and said, 'Mum, you've got to do it.'

"The most she's won is £10 so she'll be a bit gutted when I tell her I've won £30,000.

"So, I've got her to thank for this."

The proud mum was at her home in Clewer, where she lived for more than 30 years, when she got the dream call.

The dedicated gardener missed the first call with the happy news because was working outside her property.

She was then delighted when they surprised her with the huge cheque on her doorstep.

Sally explained: "I didn't answer the lottery's call because I was hedge cutting, then I called back the next day and, hey presto, it's real and Jeff knocked on my front door.

"I can't wait to celebrate with our family and friends. We'll have lots of fun."

People's Postcode Lottery presenter Jeff Brazier told the lottery winner to have "the best time" while holidaying at the Aussie capital and exploring New Zealand.

He added, "Our Postcode Lottery players enter to win, but they also know the huge benefit it brings to charities locally and across the UK. Every time players buy a ticket, charities win."

The win comes as another jackpot lotto winner, Jane Park, revealed her new side hustle after bagging a whooping prize.

The youngest lotto punter to ever win, who has had her ups and downs, became a social media influencer when she won £1million in the Euromillions.

But others weren't so lucky.
