I caught my partner on dating apps used to meet 'mature women'

DEAR DEIDRE: MY partner seems to have two personalities – the one I know and a secret version I don’t.

He is a man of 30 and moved in with me when the pandemic started. We had been dating for six months before that.

I’m a woman of 32.

Things were great at first but then the passion wore off.

He began to be secretive about his phone. One afternoon he met a mate for a drink, leaving his phone to one side.

I had a snoop and found he had apps for at least six mature-dating sites.

The sites showed he was looking for “fun” with women in their fifties, sixties and even seventies.

I feel betrayed. Does he prefer sex with older women to me?

Am I wasting my time being with him?

DEIDRE SAYS: He does have a side you were not aware of but whether his interest is mainly in younger women or older, he is still betraying you.

If you do not confront him, it is going to make you more miserable.

Find a quiet moment to say you feel things are no longer the same. Mention you saw a dating app come up on his phone.

See what he says. My support pack on cheating may help you both see where to go from here.
