‘To clean your TV, use a clean microfibre cloth,’ Carolina posted on TikTok.

‘To remove dust from the surface, simply add one cup of water to a spray bottle, along with one teaspoon of dish soap.

She continued: ‘Spray the cloth with the solution and wipe down the TV screen.’

If you have stubborn stains that cannot be got rid of with a microfibre cloth, Good Housekeeping recommends that you spot-clean stubborn smudges with a pre-moistened wipe designed for electronics.

With your cloth, carefully go over buttons and the back of the TV to nab dust in the vents.

You should also make sure to take the time to clean your remote control every once in a while, which can hold onto thousands of germs due to the amount of times we touch it.

To do this, Good Housekeeping recommends that you first pop out the batteries and replace the cover on the battery compartment.

Lightly tap the remote, button side down, on a table to dislodge any loose crumbs or debris stuck in the crevices.

Then, run an electronics wipe over the remote control, paying special attention to the buttons and narrow spaces around them.

You can also use a toothpick to get rid of anything around the edges.
