There are some heart-rendingly poignant scenes in tonight’s Holby City, as Dominic Copeland (David Ames) comes to terms with the fact that his beloved mum Carole (Julia Deakin) is dying.
Carole manages to tell him that she wants to go to a lake that the the family would visit when Dominic was a little boy. While his father fished, Dominic and Carole would eat sandwiches and laugh.
Ollie is there to reassure Hanssen that he’s back on the right path, dealing with his PTSD and ready to resume his medical career. On his way into the hospital he meets Wendy Carrington (Alison Pargeter) and her son Sammy (Oscar Wilkins). Sammy’s health has suddenly deteriorated and he’s once again an emergency case. With Ollie’s involvement, can the team find a way to help him?
Amelia (Lucy Briggs-Owen) and Eli (Davood Ghadami) struggle with the news that Amelia’s pregnancy means that she can’t participate in the brain tumour trial any longer. ‘I think we both know what we have to do,’ says Eli – but do they both want the same thing?
And Ange (Dawn Steele) is insecure when she spots Josh (Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge) and Claudia (Lottie Tolhurst) from his support group having a coffee and a cosy chat in Pulses – and Claudia is quick to point out that Josh never mentioned he had a girlfriend.
