“Family Karma” is coming back to Bravo for a second season on June 2, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
Season 1 favorites Anisha Ramakrishna, Amrit Kapai, Bali Chainani, Brian Benni, Monica Vaswani, Shaan Patel and Vishal Parvani are confirmed to return. They will be joined by two new faces.
Since Benni, 28, and Vaswani, 28, are officially in the friend-zone, Vaswani has sparked a new romance with another childhood sweetheart: Rish Karam, according to Bravo.
Season 2 will follow the Bollywood dancing beauty’s budding romance with Karam, as well as her journey to reunite her estranged parents.
However, Benni isn’t staying too far behind in the love department as he is “finally over” Vaswani, his childhood best friend, according to Bravo. The cast’s “resident party boy” has started dating another woman named Monica.
Meanwhile, Kapai and his boyfriend, Nicholas Kouchoukos, appear ready to take the next steps in their relationship, but are seeking approval from the family matriarch.
Chainani, 44, is said to also still be going strong with her Irish-German boyfriend, O’Malley Dreisbach, as she continues to raise her 19-year-old daughter.
And Shaan is feeling the pressure to get married and have kids with his girlfriend, who is just finishing up law school.
But while some relationships are flourishing, others are at a standstill.
Parvani, 33, and fiancée Richa Sadana, who were engaged in Season 1, are “struggling,” according to the network, because of Parvani’s “spiraling behavior.”
Ramakrishna, 35, appears to be still living the single life, although Season 2 will follow a decision of hers that “breaks family and cultural tradition,” the network teases.
She is joined this year by her BFF Dillon Patel, who is the second new cast member this season aside from Karam, Vaswani’s boyfriend. Dillon is also Shaan’s younger brother.
Earlier this year, Bravo confirmed that the series about a group of Indian-American friends would be returning for Season 2. The announcement came a few months after Page Six revealed that several cast members had been spotted filming in Miami.
In October, we learned that production came to a brief halt after a cast member contracted COVID-19. A source told us at the time that filming was shut down for about two weeks, but they planned to resume.
According to Bravo, Season 2 of “Family Karma” will return with a “supersized” episode on June 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
