Does Willow Smith have coal waiting under the tree for her mom and “Red Table Talk” co-host Jada Pinkett Smith?
In an exclusive look at Monday’s episode of the Facebook Watch series, which Pinkett Smith’s mom, Adrienne Banfield-Norris also hosts, the “Girls Trip” actress shares just how upset her daughter was when she discovered the truth about the man in the red suit.
“Willow got on me, and she was like, ‘The worst parenting ever. I cannot believe you made me believe that there was a Santa Claus, and there’s not!’ ” Pinkett Smith, 47, shared.
The episode titled “Christmas with the Smiths” also includes footage from a home video showing Pinkett Smith penning a letter to her daughter from jolly old Saint Nick.
“Dear Willow, my gift to you is a message,” she reads. “You’re very special, and I hope you always care for your gifts and specialness. People like us have unique missions in the world. Don’t forget that.”
“Perfect,” her husband, actor Will Smith, can be heard commenting off-camera.
“She was so upset when she found out that here was no Santa Claus!” Pinkett Smith remembered around the red table. “And she was older, I won’t give away how old she was…”
“No, stop it!” Willow, now 18, directed. “No, I wasn’t!”
“You were!” Pinkett Smith insisted, laughing. “I have proof.”
“No, I was very young, for everyone watching,” Willow said.
