We’re not ashamed to admit that we’ve become a bit addicted to Chloe Sims’ make-up tutorials over the last few months, eagerly tuning in to her Instagram and YouTube channels to see her glam transformations and product recommendations.
And her latest video, posted on Instagram Stories, didn’t disappoint. The former TOWIE star showed her 1.2 million followers how to create a “messy glam” make-up look – and the hero product is an absolute bargain.
After doing her eye make-up off camera, she applied her base, and if you assumed celebrities only like high-end brands, you may be pleasantly surprised. Chloe used the Primark PS… Double Coverage Matte Foundation in the shade Toffee, which costs just £5 in stores.

Chloe Sims reveals her amazing salon-like hair transformation using this £9 mask
She applied it to her face first with a small brush, before blending it over with the Fenty Face Shaping Brush 125, £22 here, adding a second layer over her cheeks.
“It’s incredibly matte,” she begins. “You need the smallest amount.”
“Look how it just evens everything out,” she says as she finishes blending. “I think for £5 that is very impressive, and I’ve tried a lot of foundations.”
And she’s not the only person pleased by this discovery. According to members of Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, it’s an excellent alternative to Estée Lauder’s iconic Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup. As this costs £34, making this swap will save you an incredible £29.
“If you wear Estée Lauder Double Wear – or any foundation really – and want a cheaper version then I honestly couldn't recommend this enough!” wrote one member of the Facebook group.
“This £5 Primark foundation is incredible!” raves another. “It makes my skin feel nice and smooth without being drying…and even covers my dark circles well without adding concealer!”
