THE cheapest house in Wales has hit the market for just £25K – but the new owners will have their work cut out for them.

Despite its bargain price tag, the retro-inside and jungle in the back garden may put off some house hunters.

The three-bed home near Pontypridd is certainly in need of renovation, but homeowners looking for a project will be eager to flip it into a hefty profit.

It's retro-style is evident as soon as you open the door, with a hall draped in wallpaper that will remind many of the 1970's.

The front room is completely stripped back, while the second downstairs room at least features a traditional fireplace.

Another similar room is found at the rear of the property, while the kitchen is not in its usual spot as it is found past a glass door to the back garden.

The work that needs to be done outside is clear from the kitchen, as overgrown foliage has made its way inside.

While the downstairs has open-plan living potential – albeit without a bathroom – things get more promising upstairs.

The blue bathroom comes equipped with a full-length bath, while residents will be pleased to find three bedrooms already installed with throwback patterned carpets and wallpaper.

Upstairs will also provide a view of the biggest challenge the home will present its new owners – taming the backyard jungle.
