Argos up to half-price toy sale includes Peppa Pig and Lego

ARGOS has launched an up to half price toy sale with discounts on Peppa Pig, Lego and more.

It could be a good opportunity for parents to stock up on Christmas presents, with around three months to go until December 25

Other popular brands included in the sale are LOL Surprise and Chad Valley.

But not all toys will have 50% off – for example, some have a third off, or 25% off.

The Argos Toy Event is available now until next Tuesday, September 29.

Shoppers can browse all the discounts online, with options available for click and collect or delivery.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you – so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Click and collect is free from Argos, or delivery charges start from £3.95.

We've asked the retailer if you can order sale items in stores and we'll update this article when we know more.

The Sun is also checking if Argos will be running its weekly "crazy codes" discounts, which is predicted to start next month.

Under the offer Argos released a new code every Wednesday for customers to use for the next seven days, for ten weeks right up to Christmas Eve.

One example, was 20% off when shoppers spent at least £20.

Before you part ways with any cash, we’d always recommend comparing prices online to make sure you’ve found the best deal.

See our box above to find out how you can do this.
