Where to watch New Year's Eve fireworks in London and where are the best views?

Watched the display on television and fancy checking it out for real this year? Here's everything you need to know about where to head.

Where can you watch New Year's Eve fireworks in London?

If you've nabbed tickets, you can watch the show from Victoria Embankment, the South Bank, Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Bridge or Albert Embankment.

Organisers introduced ticketing for 100,000 people in 2014, in order to prevent overcrowding.

Unfortunately, this year's tickets are now sold out.

But that doesn't mean you have to miss out – there are plenty of other spots with great views of the display.

Where are the best views if you don't have tickets?

If you head towards St Paul's Cathedral, Mansion House or Bank, you'll be just outside the ticketed area.

You'll probably be a little squashed, but you'll get to see the fireworks in their full glory – and you won't have to pay a thing.

Southwark Bridge and Millennium Bridge are also good shouts for a close-up view.

If you don't fancy the idea of heaving crowds, you may want to try Primrose Hill.

While it's a little further out, you'll still be able to take plenty of great snaps. And if you're in luck, you may even catch sight of other displays across the capital.

Wherever you go, make sure you wrap up warm and bring a plastic champagne flute for your bubbly.
