What You Need to Know About This Year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday Fashion Deals

October is one week away and then after Halloween hits, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. To quote those Nationwide commercials: “Life comes at you fast.” But the major things to look forward to during November (other than the mashed potatoes and your mom’s famous cranberry sauce, of course) are all the deals happening on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It’s the best time to stock up on literally anything you need from tech gear to appliances, but the clothes, accessories, and all the other fashion sales are definitely where it’s at if you’re not really into the big-ticket purchases. (No shade to vacuum cleaners or stainless steel refrigerators.) Below, here’s everything you need to know about the fashion discounts happening this year, and we’ll be updating this story continually once more specific details roll in—for your benefit as well as ours.

When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year?

Black Friday is always after Thanksgiving, and in 2021 it takes place on Nov. 26, with Cyber Monday happening Nov. 29. Most retailers blend the two sales together though, and often stores will have discounts still going on that whole weekend in between or even the week after.

What fashion deals are happening?

While it’s tough to say this far in advance what retailers are participating and the exact markdowns, judging from the BFCM deals last year it should be about the same. To give you some references, in 2020, Madewell offered 30 percent off, & Other Stories was 25 percent off, Nordstrom had items up to 50 percent off, Revolve offered up to 65 percent off, and Outdoor Voices was up to 70 percent off. There were some v good discounts, people!

What sales should I look out for this year?

If some of the same retailers are taking part in the BFCM festivities, which seems likely, places like Nordstrom, Farfetch, MatchesFashion, Net-A-Porter, Shopbop, and Revolve are where you can score designer pieces for significantly less. Amazon, Boohoo, NastyGal, and Pretty Little Thing will probably have tons of clothing and accessories on sale during the shopping event, so you’ll be able to stock up on a bunch of affordable items at once if that’s more your speed.

If you’re looking for workout gear and athleisure, there’s always sites like Alo Yoga, Beyond Yoga, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and Puma that’ll most likely have BFCM sales as well. But definitely bookmark this page so you can check back for more details once we have ’em!
