The Prince and Princess of Monaco were seen yesterday laying the first brick of the future refuge of the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) of Monaco. The refuge is expected to be opened by the end of 2023 and will welcome sick and injured animals. Princess Charlene is known for her love of animals and so it made sense that the royal was at the refuge site yesterday to lay its first brick.

The Princess looked happy as she joined her husband to talk to those supervising the building of the refuge.

Charlene and Albert displayed affection towards one another, with Albert kissing his wife’s cheek at one point.

The couple also held hands at numerous points during the event.

Charlene looked beautiful in a simple yet elegant black and white outfit.

She wore a white blouse with a V-neckline and a pair of black trousers.

The blouse was the Stand Collar Poplin Blouse from Swiss fashion house Akris. It is available to buy online from Saks Fifth Avenue for a huge £814.50.

Meanwhile, Charlene’s trousers was the High Waisted Cargo Style Trousers in Black by iconic fashion designer Louis Vuitton.

Charlene has worn these casual yet stylish black trousers before, while her blouse was a new purchase.

An old purchase, the Princess wore these trousers last on May 22, 2019.

They are no longer available to buy online but Louis Vuitton, as well as cheaper high street brands have similar versions.

Charlene completed her outfit with a pair of black Jimmy Choo flats and a pair of black Prada sunglasses.

As for jewellery, the royal donned a long beaded necklace that was visible just under her shirt’s collar.

The former Olympian’s hair was swept back in its usual stylish do.

Royal fans were quick to comment on the royal’s look, with many praising her fashionable appearance.
