POSH supermarkets like Marks and Spencer probably aren't the first place we go for a bargain food shop.
But one mum proved it's possible to feed the family on M&S food for just a few pounds if you shop at the right time.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one mum shared photos of her massive food haul.
She captioned the photos: "M&S yellow sticker dash at 5.30pm.
"That's us fed well for two weeks."
In total the shop should have cost £165.61, but thanks to reductions she paid just £33.93
Making the most of marked down Christmas food, the mum's best bargains included a turkey breast joint reduced from £18 to £2.31,a turkey roulade from £7.80 down to £1.12 and an 86p cheese and onion pie.
As for dessert, the family will dine out on posh salted caramel pastry balls for £1.80, satsumas, bananas and a Christmas pudding.
People have praised the savvy shopper forher impressive food haul.
"Good on you," someone wrote. "Enjoy."
Another group member said: "I salute your skill."
Her discounted shopping haul has inspired lots of others to do the same.
But her post has also received some criticism, with a number of people pointing out how much of the food looks like it will soon go out of date.
Meanwhile others pointed out most items can be frozen, with one person writing, "The vast majority of store bought foods are good a few days past their use by dates, freeze the rest and you're sorted."
