IRN-Bru have revealed a new duo of fun flavours to enjoy in the summertime.
Cumbernauld-based producers A.G. Barr launched the Tropical and Ice Cream flavoured editions of their famed fizzy drink.
The cans are a summery riff on their Irn-Bru Xtra sugar free range which will offer fans of the beloved Scottish ginger a new treat to experiment with.
Irn-Bru Xtra’s new flavours will not stick around forever with thelimited edition beverages only available from mid-May until the end of the summer at 69p per can.
Fizzy drink fan Calum Morrison picked one of each to try out.
IRN-BRU XTRA TROPICAL
If you like a little bit of zest in your fizzy drinks, this could be a game-changer for you.
The pineapple flavour is obvious as soon as you open the can, and I was concerned that it may be overpowering.
However, it manages to retain the flavour that makes Irn-Bru a stalwart of the soft drinks industry and wider Scottish culture while introducing a pineapple twist which blends surprisingly well.
The new taste is not a million miles away from well-known refreshment Lilt, which was discontinued at the start of the year.

For fans of the binned beverage, this new version of Irn-Bru could be what you need to get your fix until the end of summer.
IRN-BRU XTRA ICE CREAM
An ice cream-flavoured Irn-Bru may seem like a mismatch to some.
However, this addition to the Xtra range carries a vanilla-twanged taste that completely transforms the drink.
On first sniff, the vanilla scent leaps out at you.
It is far from what you’d expect from a can of Irn-Bru and much more like another of A.G. Barr’s fizzy productsCream Soda.
Perhaps less ‘summery’ than its tropical counterpart, it could be an interesting change of pace for fans of the ice cream flavoured fizz who want to try something slightly different.
