A TRADER Joe's expert has revealed that a fan-favorite seasoning found at the store is actually a secret superfood.
TikToker @realsimple has listed several items that shoppers may not know have with hidden health benefits.
Superfoods are nutrient-rich foods that provide an array of important health benefits.
And the Everything But The Bagel sesame seasoning blend found at Trader Joe's includes a superfood.
"Sesame seeds are an excellent source of iron and have a nutrient called phytosterols, which lowers cholesterol levels by reducing cholesterol absorption," said the expert.
Another nutrient-rich food found at Trader Joe's is the Sauerkraut with Pickled Persian Cucumbers, they shared.

"According to researchers at Harvard medical school, fermented foods provide your body with a dose of healthful probiotics which are good for digestion," the TikToker added.
"Additionally, a healthy diet helps keep your immune system in check."
Finally, the Garlic and Onion Pistachios at the store also offer health benefits.
According to @realsimple, they are high in fiber and also contain the highest amount of potassium and vitamin B6, when compared to other nuts.
