I'm a single mum – I have no idea about building furniture so my house is only half finished, chairs are falling apart | The Sun

BUILDING furniture and following manuals aren't something that comes naturally to all of us.

And one single mum has revealed that her lack of DIY skills has meant most of her house has been put together incorrectly.

Taking to TikTok, Victoria Murray, from the UK, first revealed she attached her indoor hanging chair using gorilla glue.

Viewers were stunned Victoria had put it up with gorilla glue rather than screwing it into the ceiling, prompting the mum to share some more hilarious failed DIY attempts around her home.

She said: "If we're going to talk about the fact that my chair is currently hanging up with not only Gorilla Glue but No More Nails, I'm going to show you the other things in my house that are built incorrectly."

Victoria then shows off her lovely oak breakfast table and chairs, while she reveals the table was easy enough to put together, the chairs were a bit trickier.

She revealed: "I didn't know how to build the f****ng chair, so we just didn't build the chair.

"Now we just don't sit on it," as she pulls the chair out from under the table the entire thing falls apart.

Next up is the children's toy box, "lovely," the mum comments, but unfortunately, she had no idea how to screw the lid of it on.

Her son's bed also suffered the same fate, she revealed that one side of the bed frame didn't come with a screw to keep it up.

Luckily, Victoria found a way around it and used some of his teddies to prop up the side of his bedframe.

And it isn't just furniture Victoria has struggled with, the independent mum also tried her hand at fitting in her own cooker after watching YouTube tutorials.

But once again, it didn't go quite to plan.

She added: "I thought it would be a good idea to fit the cooker myself because I'm one of those toxic b*****s who thinks that they can do everything, so in my mind, I can fit a cooker.

"Mmm, no I can't."

Now every time Victoria attempt to put the cooker on it flips all of her electrics so nothing else works in the house.

Lastly, Victoria shared that she purchased a new under-the-sink cabinet for her bathroom, but she thought it would be a one size fits all job.

Instead, the legs won't fit underneath so Victoria has had to improvise using a candle to keep it in place.

Viewers found the video hilarious, and many offered to give Victoria a hand.

One wrote: "This is killing me – I want to fix EVERYTHING in that house!!"

Another commented: "My house is exactly the same."

A third penned: "I’m relieved to see someone else lives like this."
