Jon Bon Jovi’s eldest son Jesse Bongiovi thinks he snagged the favorite child role after wowing his mom Dorothea one holiday season.
“I was in a silk screening class in college,” the recent Notre Dame grad told Page Six. “My mom when I was little used to read me the book, ‘The Giving Tree.’ So I made a silk screen of the little boy growing up and then standing in front of the tree. And I took some quote from the book underneath it. I gave it to my mom for Christmas and she literally cried and I was like I am the greatest son of all time.”
Jesse, 23, has three siblings, Stephanie, 25, Jacob, 16, and Romeo, 14.
“It’s not easy being the best son but someone has to do it!” he laughed. “I tell them all the time!”
He admitted that this year it’ll be tough to top the sentimental gift.
“Most gifts I give are kind of last minute,” he said, keeping his lips sealed on what he plans to get his rocker dad this year. “I’ll just give my smiling face!”
But he revealed that he’ll be giving his cousins and more distant family members bottles of Hampton Water rosé, which he created with his 56-year-old father.
As for what’s on Jesse’s list, he’d be happy with an updated wardrobe including his favorite brands, Vince, James Perse, Levi’s, John Varvatos and Hugo Boss.
“My parents recently told me that I am not very good at dressing myself so I would love — I feel like I’ve officially become an adult because I would love some socks and some new underwear. I’ve been wearing the same clothes since I was like a sophomore in college so I think I would love some things to actually dress myself in.”
