Victoria Beckham shows tattoo tribute to husband David has all but vanished after years of laser treatment as she dons backless gown at British Fashion Awards
Victoria Beckham’s efforts to remove a neck tattoo dedicated to her husband David appear to be successful, as she revealed it has all but vanished on Monday.
The former Spice Girl proudly displayed the results of her efforts, which are thought to have started as far back as 2015, when she stepped out in a glamorous backless gown at the British Fashion Awards in London.
Only faint markings were visible from the nape of her neck to her upper back, where there was once etched a Hebrew reading: ‘I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine’ — one of a collection of tattoos she is said to have later found ’embarrassing’.

However, it’s only the tattoos the mother-of-four has appeared keen to distance herself from, and not her dedication to her husband, as she was seen happily cosying up to the former football player at the awards gala on Monday.

While she missed out on scooping the Womenswear Designer Of The Year trophy, Victoria looked smitten as she cuddled up to David at the star-studded bash in Partnership with Swarovski at the historic Royal Albert Hall in Kensington.
Later in the night, the couple were seen holding hands as they made their way to an exclusive after-party in the upscale neighbourhood of Belsize Park.
Night on the town: The former Spice Girl attended the British Fashion Awards at London’s Royal Albert Hall with her husband David Beckham when she revealed the vanished tattoo
Long process: It was evident that she had started efforts to remove the tattoo back in 2015
Going, going…: By 2017, Victoria’s inking was on it way out as her laser treatment contined
Victoria’s Hebrew inking isn’t the only tattoo she has had removed in recent years, as she’s also had two designs zapped from her wrist.
The first marks the date she and David renewed their wedding vows in 2006, and the second bears the phrase ‘again from the start’ in Latin, which she got when her family moved to America for David’s LA Galaxy gig in 2007.
It was claimed that the star found her inkings — which she had done in the years after David’s Rebecca Loos cheating scandal — ’embarrassing’.
An insider told The Sun back in 2015: ‘Victoria seems embarrassed about her tattoos – probably because she thinks they’re cheap and tacky.
Wearing his heart on his sleeve: David has a number of tattoo tributes to his family, including the number 99 on his finger to mark the year he wed Victoria
Devoted dad: The 43-year-old star got the words ‘Pretty Lady’ inked above an earlier tattoo of his daughter Harper’s name in the summer of 2015
Say it with ink: The star also got his eldest son Brooklyn’s nickname, Buster, inked on his neck
‘But it’s still surprising she would so readily get rid of ones that had such sentimental meaning to her in the past.’
The style-savvy star also has five stars on her lower back, representing herself, her husband and their three sons, which she got before Harper was born.
Meanwhile, retired footballer David famously has one of the most impressive tattoo collections in showbiz, boasting around 40 designs, including the number ’99’ tattooed on his little finger to mark the year he got married to Victoria.
His other inkings include the words ‘Pretty Lady’ next to his daughter Harper’s name on his neck and the nickname ‘Buster’ on the other side in reference to his eldest son Brooklyn.
Getting cosy: At Monday’s event, Victoria was seen cosying up to her husband as they sat with their son Brooklyn, David’s best pal Dave Gardner and his partner Liv Tyler
