Paul McCartney cautioned his fans about overindulging in eating and drinking over the holidays.
The legendary 76-year-old musician gave the warning in a Christmas message on Twitter Tuesday, in which he posted photos from his younger days.
“Don’t eat and drink too much! I know I will, but that’s no excuse for you”, said the former member of Beatles.
“I hope you enjoy all your presents and I hope you remember the true meaning of Christmas, which is love and peace and being good to each other,” he added.
He closed the message by wishing all his fans a Happy Christmas.
In a preceding post, McCartney shared a previously unreleased version of “Dear Friend.”
McCartney and Beatles drummer Ringo Starr had shared a stage at a London concert last week.
Starr tweeted a Christmas message on Tuesday: “So this is Christmas peace and love everybody.”
