Maura Higgins possibly hinted at Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s chosen baby name two years ago at the blonde beauty’s birthday party.
Love Island’s Molly-Mae and Tommy welcomed their first daughter on23 January and soon introduced her to the world on Instagram on 30 January, with Love Island alums like Gemma Owen, Amber Gill, and Zara McDermott all wishing the family the best.
On Tuesday, the 23 year old Pretty Little Thing creative director revealed that her daughter’s name is Bambi, which means child and was popularised by the 1942 Disney film of the same name.
As it turns out, close friend Maura Higgins, who recently vacationed in Tulum, may have teased the name two years ago during Molly-Mae’s 22nd Birthday party.
Molly-Mae was showered with expensive gifts during the day, like Tommy’s gift of a £3,850 Alhambra gold and malachite Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet.
Maura, 32, gifted her friend a Disney mug with Bambi on, with Molly-Mae thanking her: "Only real ones know why this is special. Love you.”
While it’s not immediately clear whether the present was intentional, Molly-Mae previously said that she’d chosen Bambi years ago and that some fans may "hate" it.
Earlier in the month, Molly-Mae took to Instagram to answer some questions from her 6.8 million followers, with one fan questioning how she chose the name.
She replied: “There was only ever one name for her. I‘ve had it picked out for years and years!
“Luckily Tommy loved it too (even if he hadn’t I would’ve had to talk him round because like I say, there was only ever one name she was having!)”
There was massive speculation surrounding the name in the lead-up to the birth, with fans initially thinking the name could be Halo.
You see, while sharing pictures and video from the renovation of their house, Molly-Mae showed a sneak peek at the nursery, which was designed by interiors company Neo Home UK.
The colour scheme followed Molly-Mae’s typical monochrome white pallet, and the room featured a built-in wardrobe, gold embellishments, lots of clouds a gold and silver chandelier.
Behind the cot, eagle-eyed fans noticed the word “Halo” in bright lettering, which many people took as an indication of the name.
“U have literally given away the name," wrote one fan, as another said, “molly Mae’s baby room? Halo gonna be her name?"
On another occasion, a fan of Molly-Mae took to TikTok to predict the name “Nephele”, which means clouds in Greek.
