Lucy Mecklenburgh reveals heartwarming moment son Roman met unborn sister at 4D scan

Lucy Mecklenburgh shared the heartwarming moment her young son Roman first met his unborn sister at a 4D scan.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star and her fiancé Ryan Thomas are expecting their second child together – a girl – after welcoming their son Roman in March 2020.

And Lucy, who recently built an incredible bedroom for her stepdaughter Scarlett, is now preparing for her new arrival this spring and shared snaps from her most recent check-up.

Little Roman could be seen looking eagerly at his unborn sister at the 4D monitor while Lucy lovingly rested her hand on top of his head.

Lucy used her other hand to ensure her chunky monochrome jumper was lifted over her stomach as she gazed at the screen with a smile on her face.

"My baby girl," Lucy wrote with a heart emoji. "The first time Roman saw his little sister."

Her friends and followers left gushing comments, with Lydia Bright writing: "My heart. He is going to be the best big brother."

"So special, thanks for letting us all share this beautiful moment," another wrote.

A third added: "Amazing a little sister for your beautiful boy wonderful Congratulations."

Lucy also shared the scans of her soon-to-be born baby girl, with many followers commenting that she looked like Roman.

"She already looks so much like her big brother!! X" one person wrote, while another added: "Wow. She looks so much like Roman. Beautiful xx."

Lucy and Ryan met on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls in 2017 and began dating, later welcoming their first child Roman into the world in March 2020.

The couple are currently expecting a second child and recently jetted off to Dubai for a luxury babymoon.

Lucy and Ryan have been keeping fans in the loop with their next baby, and on New Year's Day, they excitedly shared the first scan of the new year.

She captioned the photo with: "Best first photo of 2022. I'm not going to lie I wasn't overjoyed with getting a scan app for jan 1st 9am but let's face it with a toddler I'd be up anyway and I wasn't going to be hungover."

The mum-of-one continued: "It turned out to be the most special gift to start the new year! Knowing my baby is healthy, growing and safe in my tummy."
