Love Island star Malin Andersson has become a mum for the first time.
Malin, 25, broke the news to fans and revealed her baby daughter was being cared for at Great Ormond Street hospital after she gave birth seven weeks early.
Taking to social media, the mum also revealed her daughter’s unusual name choice – Consy.
Malin shared: "Happy New Year…Tom and I are so happy to let you all know that our baby girl CONSY arrived in this world 23rd December 2018, seven weeks early.
‘She is so beautiful, we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street – we have received a number of messages over the past week and there has been a lot of speculation and so we wanted to share our news with you so you could hear from us first hand.
"We are so thankful for the amazing care she is receiving here and promise to update you on her progress but for the time being we hope you can all respect our privacy.
"We can’t wait to share her with you all soon. Love, Ma & Tom x."
It’s been a dramatic few months for Malin who accused boyfriend Tom Kemp after accusing him of cheating on her while she was pregnant.
She tweeted "Lol so just found out I’ve been cheated on"
Malin then added: "Being pregnant n cheated on. Lush"
She also confirmed she’d split with him in a statement she posted on her Instagram story.
It said: "My next relationship will be 100% healthy, by that I don’t mean it will be perfect 24/7 but it will NOT be mentally draining, possessive, fear-based, manipulative, one-sided, suppressive, controlling and lack the empathetic ability to connect to one another in order for growth."
But the pair put on a united front weeks later as they staged a party to reveal the gender of their baby to family and friends.
The couple looked more loved-up than ever as they celebrated with a snog and fed each other cake.
While this is Malin’s first child, it’s decorator Tom’s third.
Malin, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2016, started seeing 27-year-old Tom in January, it was reported by The Sun.
She told the paper: "I am feeling quite shocked about being pregnant to be honest. It hasn’t sunk in yet.
"My mum passed away in November and within the same year I will be bringing a new life into the world. I would like a girl. I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a girl as well.
"I met Tom back in November on a night out. I met him a week before my mum died weirdly.
"He is 100 per cent my soulmate which is hard for me to say. I’ve been single since Love Island but this guy I really like. We just click."
